'French MSS.St.Lukes Gospel'  2.5 pages folio hand written copy of an original vellum leaf of St.Lukes gospel (Ch 11v27 - Ch 12 v2) Circa 1820. 18 line introduction to whole in English. 74 lines of French original. Double coloumned original. 13/14th century. We are told the language of the fragment is exceedingly good, being a translation in the Provencal dialect. Some attempt to reproduce the larger engraved capitals etc. The leaf was presented to the Royal Library Stockholm by a Major Hertzenhelm.
