Terms And Conditions
Postage
Postage costs will normally be met by the buyer, whether home or abroad. For considerations of time and safety, books will normally be sent by recorded delivery (or equivalent) at home, and by air mail abroad, unless contrary instructions are received. We will always confirm exact postage costs on your invoice prior to shipping.
Accounts & Payment
Existing clients with account facilities should settle invoice accounts within 14 days. Additional extended account facilities are available for libraries and other institutions. Please contact us for details. All goods remain the property of the proprietor until paid for in full.
All other invoices should be settled by any one of the following payment methods prior to goods being shipped.
Credit-Card
We do not have an online card payment facility. We will contact you prior to shipping to collect the appropriate card details. Please note that all card payments will be processed in Sterling. Any foreign currency illustrations provided are to provide a guideline only.
Cheque
All cheques should be payable to G.M Cresswell t/a Humber Books and sent to the address provided on the invoice. US Dollar cheques accepted by prior agreement.
Paypal
We are happy to accept Paypal payments. Please contact us to advise us of your account details and we will send you a payment request.
Bank Transfer
We are happy to accept bank transfer directly to our account. Please contact us for details if this is your preferred method of payment.
Exchange Rates
All foreign currency illustrations provided are for guideline purposes only. Credit card payments will always be charged in Sterling. Any other foreign currency rates quoted are subject to change at any time in line with daily changes to the rates of exchange. Please check with us prior to making any commitment to purchase.
Return of Goods
Books may be returned for reasons of serious faults in description. Please indicate your desire first, and then return the goods promptly in case others are still interested in the same.
Wants Lists
Want lists are always welcome, we will always try to make time to locate any specific items or alternatively you can just indicate a particular area of interest. The theology listed is only a fraction of books in stock, so it is always possible that we may already have what you want.
Books Purchased
We are always interested in purchasing any items of Antiquarian Theology or Bibles. We are particularly interest in Theology & Bibles dated prior to 1700 however we will consider other items between 1700 -1900. We don’t generally purchase items any later than this.
