Humber Books has been established since 1972 predominantly specialising in 17th Century reformation theology and rare English Bibles. The business was formed and managed by Peter Cresswell from 1972 until he passed away in early 2010. The business has continued in family ownership and is now managed by the next generation. We have many long term customers including leading worldwide Universities and Libraries.

We have a considerable library of 17th century theology much of which is not currently listed so please feel free to contact us if there are any particular items you would like to obtain.

In addition to our 17th century theology collection we also have a substantial numbers of other items including early English & foreign Bibles, 18th & 19th century theology, Civil War & history, manuscripts and many other interesting items.

We strive to achieve complete customer satisfaction at all times. This has always been our priority so please be assured in the knowledge that our books will always be meticulously described. We have consistently supplied rare books to some of the largest Universities & Libraries in the world over the last 40 years so you can be safe in the knowledge that you are dealing with a specialist business at all times.
